Bee Tutored was founded in 2008 by Kate Prichard, a certified teacher and NYC Teaching Fellow. After recognizing first hand that teachers can only provide so much support in the classroom she sought out to provide a personalized approach for supplemental help and reinforcement in education.
Bee Tutored started as a small group of classroom teachers providing private individualized support to local students outside of the classroom. Over the past 16 years Bee Tutored has expanded, primarily through word of mouth, to serve more than 15,000 students from public and private schools across New York City, Texas, and Spain.
Bee Tutored provides individualized attention and support, whether through assistance with homework and test preparation or focusing on specific skills and disciplines.
The staff at Bee Tutored believes in taking a uniquely personalized approach with each student and family. To that end, we hand select each private tutor for your child based on his or her individual needs.
We recognize the need for flexible schedules, convenient tutoring locations and the importance of cultivating an enjoyable and rewarding learning experience.

For our Barcelona families, academic instruction can be provided in Spanish, Catalan, or English.

Charles leads Bee Tutored’s informational webinars for parents, provides mock exam review consultations and develops customized comprehensive test plans for students. Additionally, Charles provides teacher trainings for Bee Tutored’s talented group of test prep instructors.

Saief first started tutoring elementary school students in 2013. Since then, he has expanded his tutoring to range between students in the third grade, all the way up to students in the twelfth grade. Ron is a former LaGuardia High School Visual Arts major with a love of learning and a passion for helping the current generation of K-12 students find what they love about learning too! Aside from being an SHSAT and general academic tutor, Ron is currently studying philosophy at John Jay CUNY and leading the debate skills club at Nest+m.

Our tutors travel to your home or preferred location for individual and small group sessions. Many schools allow our tutors to provide supplemental help during an off-period in the school day.

Student coordinators will discuss your child’s needs with you directly and will be there to support you throughout the year. Tutors complete session notes after each session with your child. These notes are reviewed by our student coordinators and are sent to you weekly. This helps parents, tutors, and administrators track progress and feedback and ensures your child is progressing appropriately.
